Interesting Yumminesses

“Food that is presented well is appetizing enough.”

One of the things I love to do is have fun with food when I’m in the mood to cook and prepare it.

Very recently, my dad was put on a special no salt and no fat diet. At first he thought it might be difficult for him to follow the diet because there is only so much one can do with “diet food.” So it was up to me to make each of his meal interesting.

I was his cook for about a month but it never occurred to me take pictures. I did remember to take a picture of the one below. It’s no-oil grilled skinless chicken (marinated in garlic, lemon, and natural herb mix – rosemary and oregano), grilled tomato and onion, steamed vegetables (potatoes, carrots and squash) and all plated on a bed of slightly chopped parsley.

It is always my pleasure to cook for my family. When I’m in the kitchen, I am known for not allowing anyone in and – confession – I am also known for getting short-tempered when someone touches the food that I’m preparing with “their own recipe version.” Who wouldn’t right?

One of the people I love cooking for are my niece and nephew. They are only 3 and 7 years old so food and snacks must look appealing to them.

The photos below were first shared with family and friends and I thought of putting them here.

…and lastly, this is how I carry my lunch.

I found this online and really found it interesting.
I thought it was a cool way to carry lunch because it’s not so bulky.
This is the YouTube link I adapted this from.

Hope you had fun reading through this. 🙂
